Recent Things

Here is a smattering of images from the last week:

Farmer's Market Strawberry Jam on English Muffin.

It's still hot at school (83 degrees in my classroom on most days), so I'm eating salads for lunch.

Over the weekend, Remy did a long walk and decided to nap like this afterwards.

Glutton for punishment: Native Foods has officially left my "desired eating places" list.
(Dry and too chewy Deli Reuben).

Latest salad being taken to work:
Spinach, quinoa, dried cranberries, mandarin oranges, cucumbers, green onion.  Olive oil and lemon dressing.

Thanks for stopping by! See you this weekend.

  1. Remy's little back legs all stretched are too cute! He looks tuckered out, definitely.

  2. OMG I can't with Remy. He is seriously just the cutest. Could you imagine they took pictures of us when we pass out from exhaustion. Hahahha omg we wouldn't be nearly as cute I don't think.

Great looking meals! I am sure the salads are helpful in combating the heat! They look amazing. That is so sad about the reuben and Native Foods in general. I hate when great restaurants let the quality go. It's so disappointing.

Hopefully by the time you see this it will be your weekend, I hope you enjoy every second of it!

    1. I'm so glad no one has pictures of me sleeping! Ha!

Sometimes it's better to cook at home anyway, so I'll take my cue !

It has been an enjoyable weekend. I hope you are enjoying your trip!

  3. Jeez i can't believe your classroom is so warm! That must suck- hopefully you just have lots of ice water around. That must have been some walk you took remy on!! Haha what a funny way to sleep... i make salad lunches most days, i make a huge batch of basic massaged kale on sunday and then put together whatever i want in it morning of- quinoa and nutritional yeast are almost daily additions :)) what a disappointment with native foods, that's tragic.

    1. I drink a lot of water! And sweat!

It was probably over a mile, which we don't really do with his old back. He's had a lighter walking week since then!

Nooch! I always forget to add that to my salads - thanks for the reminder!
