Warm Weekend

It was near 80 degrees both days this weekend, so it doesn't seem like November is about to arrive. Thus, my activities and eats are in between seasons. I still find time to sit in the backyard, but then bury myself under blankets on the couch.

In the morning:
 At the noon time:
A great treat any time of year:

Mega Meal Prep for the week ahead, also mid-season:

Kale and cabbage salad with sesame miso vinaigrette (kinda - I was missing some ingredients. Ha!)
Cauliflower Leek Soup (it needs something extra, a little boring).
No promises on a mid-week post. I have parent-teacher conferences this week, but I do have Friday off - which means there should be a bigger weekend blog!

  2. A friend found that coffee press at Goodwill! I've put it to many cups of coffee!

I can hardly wait, this week is killer!

  3. This post made me hungry!! That coffee press is awesome, I'm so jealous!! Everything looks so delicious in this post, the brownies always get me. I may have to take a trip to the vegan bakery soon and get myself a treat. I can't believe how crazy the weather has been. It's been up to 70 or 80 and then a day later it's down to 50. It looks like it will be evening out on the lower end this week though.

I hope that all is well and that parent teacher conferences go smoothly for you!

    1. I would love to see what the vegan bakery near you has to offer!

I hardly survived - I've slept so much during these last couple days, that it tells me how exhausted I must have been!

  4. Good luck with the parent teacher conferences! I'm envying your between seasons-ness - we seem to have skipped fall and ended up straight in winter. I'd be all over the sarnie and the cake!

    1. Thanks, Joey! I love a nice sub sandwich, especially when it is toasted and loaded with avocado! No winter here, yet! But we are so dry, my skin is suffering!

  5. What a cute little press.
Weather has been all over the place here too - it's starting to drive me a little bonkers, but my meals are definitely erring on the side of autumnal.
The soup sounds pretty good - I kinda like simple blends like that. maybe some turmeric, miso, carrot, and red pepper flakes would be good added in.

  7. Excellent pics. The Brownie almost looks as big as the French Press.
