In the Hamster Wheel

I'd love a long weekend or heck, a week off, right about now.  I fully relaxed this weekend, went to three stores for groceries - taking my time to be picky, and get exactly what I want. Long walks, long sits in the backyard. I don't want it to end! But first: look at this tree in the evening sunshine!

Sarah inspired breakfast: TJ's Pumpkin Seeds on oatmeal (with pumpkin butter, too!), and a cup of Morning Thunder tea.
On the search for fresh almond butter, I picked up a small indulgence. Oh my. The raw ball is like fudge.
Suja was on sale at Whole Foods, but I only picked up one.  It was really good!
And the best part of my weekend: this guy. He went to the groomer's, and wanted to show you his cuteness.
Back on the wheel tomorrow...

  1. What a gorgeous tree! I love when the leaves turn on the trees in the fall...
good choice on the raw balls, i love treats like those yet rarely get my act together to make them myself since i don't have a food processor.
That Suja makes me giggle- back when it was first popular i had a few crazy coworkers who did the master cleanse and that's basically all you have for days is that lemon cayenne maple syrup drink. There were like gallons of it in the work fridge!
    Remy is always adorable:))

    1. I only have a one cup hand-me-down food processor, otherwise I would tackle one of those raw ball recipes, too.

I've tried to make the cleanse myself, and it was gross. But this Suja is good! I would drink it on taste alone!

  2. That's the prettiest autumn tree! It's good to be picky with your food shopping - thtat way you know you'll alway have something fun to look forward to even when the hamster wheel gets a bit too much. Remy looks very dapper!

I feel like i used to be pickier with my groceries but I don't have patience for that anymore.
The oats look delicious - and Remy is beautiful.

That yellow tree is so gorgeous. The fall is the best, I mean how can anyone argue that! Hooray for oatmeal! I'm excited for oatmeal weather, it's my favorite obviously. The raw ball sounds delicious.

I hope you have a great week!

    1. I love the fall, and we've been so blessed with warm temperatures and gorgeous colors. I'm slowly adding more oatmeal into my mornings - great stuff!! I have one more raw ball left, as I've been savoring them.

  5. Great job capturing the fall colors.

Why did you want fresh ground Almond Butter? Does it separate like jarred Almond Butter?

I have seen Suja's down here, but refuse to pay more than $4/bottle.

Remy's ltie is so precious. He is a sweet little man.

    1. Fresh almond butter doesn't separate, and this doesn't need to be refrigerated, and is only roasted almonds, nothing else.

Yes, I agree - Suja was on sale, and this variety was $3!!

He is full time adorable :)
