Almost Autumnal

We experienced cold weather briefly, but have been living in the upper 70s the last week. Those temperature swings have started turning the leaves....
Which means, I want toast (avocado on peasant loaf slices)
 And homemade pumpkin bread:
Which means I have to nearly die in my workout classes, so I can still eat it:
But then, it doesn't matter anyway when I go to happy hour and order the seasonal punch (apple whiskey, cinnamon liquer, and I don't remember the rest.)
See you on Wednesday, with less bread and more greens! Ha ha!

  1. I love how beautiful fall foliage can be! Pumpkin bread is probably my favorite "fall" food....well, aside from stuffing :)) that cocktail sounds wonderful and perfectly seasonal- happy hours are important for good mental health!!
I've been making hot cider with extra cinnamon lately, just the great smell is wonderful

    1. I agree! Pumpkin bread should be in a category all by its self.

I need to get on the hot cider wagon! The smell is the best!

  2. That cocktail sounds delicious, and I'm not a whiskey fan. I love the colors of the leaves changing, but I just don't want winter!

  3. Oooooh!!! I am loving everything in those post!! Except burpees... I hate burpees, ha! I've been enjoying my avocado toast too and that pumpkin bread looks phenomenal! I need to get on that, especially since it is cool enough to turn on the oven now. The cocktail sounds so good!! I'm not a big drinker but in looking forward to some hard cider this fall ;)

The foliage is gorgeous!!! It's been turning so late here, we are just barely starting to see color now. Probably because it has been so warm!

    Hope all is well!

    2. I'm on my iPad - I hear ya! Ha ha!

I hate burpees, too. There are some in my classes that are total show off, professional burpee performers. Jerks! ;).

I don't get to Happy Hour very often, so I like to indulge the times I do! I should try hard cider some time.

  4. Wow, the Pumpkin Loaf does look inviting. Interesting that you need parchment paper so it wont stick.

Peasant Loaf sounds like it would go great with Soup.

I have never done a Burpee, but I have planted some Burpee seeds.

Throw in some Apple Whiskey and Cinnamon Liqueur Punch and you got yourself a completely Autumnal post.

    1. The parchment paper was my choice, but I'm thinking cooking spray would've been better. I love peasant loaf - I only buy a quarter at a time, otherwise I'd eat the whole loaf in a week. Ha!
