Back to the Grind

(I thought I hit "publish" last night, but I guess I didn't! Here is Wednesday's post!)

We're talking 9 hour days with non-stop meetings. A full face plant into the school year. Happily, I enjoy my colleagues, as many have become friends. If only I could find way to squeeze in more sleep...

Bran flakes and almond milk.

Hazelnut Almond Milk Latte and "welcome back" jar with tea, fruit snacks, granola bar, and mints.

I brought lunch from home: tempeh, avocado, tomato, lettuce sandwich and blueberries.

Dinner of lazy teachers: Super Spinach Salad from TJ's:

See you this weekend...

  1. At least having good workmates makes the pain of returning to work that little bit better. Not sure why so many workplaces have such an obsession with meetings - they always get in the way of doing real work. Still, the latte looks heavenly!

  2. I like the creativity behind the 'welcome back' gift. Tempeh and Avocado Sandwiches are my favorite. So is there any air conditioning in your meeting room? Please say there is.

    1. We met in the air conditioned library and on this day, we met off campus! It has been brutal otherwise!

    2. Oh yeah, libraries do tend to be freezing. Must be better for the books.

  3. Sounds like a rough transition from summer vacation..! Your sandwich looks fantastic, and that super spinach is a regular purchase for me too although i use a different salad dressing. Working with great people makes such a huge difference, I actually have some great friends that i first met at work.

    1. It has been rough! Mainly due to disorganization and the working conditions. I love the location, the kids, my colleagues... But not knowing my schedule and poor building conditions are torture.

  4. Oh man, I can't believe it! I feel like that flew by!! At least you enjoy your co-workers, that is really great and I'm sure makes the time you spend there better. I love the welcome back gift, that is really cute and thoughtful. I'm sure Remy is not happy about the transition back either.

Your meals look phenomenal and that sandwich! Yum!! I would definitely be jealous of that if I was a coworker and saw it :)

I hope that your week is going well and that it is flying by!

    1. It's all about the colleagues and kids! They get me through these first four to six weeks of crazy and hot! This second week has been pretty quick, so I'm happy about that! Ha ha!
