A Brief Stop

Can't stay for long, as the weekend hardly existed and I'm exhausted! Too much going on, and not enough rest!

Remy and his bff from next door went on a walk...
I accompanied a friend to Sam's Club, and purchased these:
(You'll see the salsa quite a bit this week, and blueberries by the handful.)

Upon Sarah's suggestion, I tried the pea crisps:
It's snowing today, so I made veggie chili and corn muffins (most of this will be brought for lunch Monday-Wednesday).

See you on Wednesday!

  1. That's a whole lotta salsa! What a good find with the blueberries- reason enough to brave a costco or sam's club in and of itself. And they freeze well if you don't get through them all.
Chili and cornbread is such a perfect snowy winter meal- the cornbread muffins look great!

    1. It is a lot of salsa! I've been eating it everyday and have had hardly made a dent! The chilly/chili weather continues, so it was a good decision! :)

  2. So sweet that Remy has his best bud to walk with. Cute little crockpot. I assume you're bringing the Salsa to the parents on Sunday.

    1. They don't like to spend too time apart or together, so bbf with frequent visits and walks makes them happy (they are both lap hogs who are irritated when said lap is occupied).

I hadn't thought ahead to the Super Bowl, but that is a great idea! Ha ha!

    1. I'm glad Remy has a friend next door (and good thing the humans are also friends! Ha ha!).

I like the pea crisps some, but won't buy them frequently as I find them to have a strange aftertaste...

  4. Oh yeah, those pea crisps are great!
I love cornbread and corn muffins. What a great idea to have them single serving on hand.

    1. I love cornbread and corn muffins, too! One these times I need to add in some green chiles to make them a little spicy!!

  5. Aww I'm sorry you didn't really like the snapea crisps!! That Sam's Club haul looked pretty impressive, were the berries any good? I've been craving berries like crazy but they are so expensive and not even worth it. The chili and corn muffins are perfect for the cold.

I hope Hinsdale down for you!

    2. The autocorrect alone could have its own blog! Ha ha!

I'm going to try a different brand, as these were TJ's. I've had a half cup of blueberries every morning, and I've not even eaten half! Ack! A single person cannot shop at Sam's!
