Feeling Festive

I'd say that despite the heaviness of the week, I was able to get into the holiday spirit!
On Cyber Monday, I purchased a couple of things, including this $12 reindeer sweater. As soon as it arrives, I'll be wearing it continuously.
I've been eating this deliciousness by the handful! Yum!

Neighborhood houses are in full decorum.
This one was set to music and the large tree on the left was changing colors. Awesome.

My lunches this past week consisted of Thanksgiving leftovers. I still have half of TJ's Turkeyless Loaf, but I need a break. No more until Christmas!
Remy went in to the groomer for his holiday haircut.
And yesterday, I attended a holiday concert with my aunt, uncle, and cousin. Nothing like a sing-along with kids to get you in the spirit!
This afternoon I'll be attending the first of two cookie decorating and craft events this month. Woo hoo! Wishing you a wonderful week!

  2. I love that leftovers are still on the menu - the turkeyless loaf does look pretty good (even if you've had an immense amount by now!) I love carols - I need to find concert nearby and do some singing to get into the Christmas spirit!

    1. I'm going to reserve the remaining Turkeyless loaf for Christmas - I almost thought to take it for my lunches this week, but thought better of it! Yes to concerts and carols!

  3. That house is amazing! Remy is the cutest! I hear you on the holiday roast. I love them, but after a few days all I want is bright, crunchy foods!

    1. I would normally say the same, but it is so cold outside (and it is drafty in my 74 year old house!), all to mean: I want warm food! I'm going to make soup tomorrow, which is perfect as it continues to snow...

  4. I am sure your students will love the new sweater;-)

Remy looks like he could use a sweater as well now.

What is it like getting sick of Trader Joe's food? I cant imagine.

    1. I'll be wearing the sweater on Monday, our last full day of classes before semester final exams! Ha ha!

Remy lets me wrap him up in the blanket, but definitely does not tolerate outfits. ;)

Oh you know what it's like, you've simply forgotten!

  5. Yeeeeeeeeeeees!!!! I love all of this! That sweater is everything. Pumpkin spice granola sounds freaking delicious too. I've switched to peppermint mocha mode and I'm loving it. Remy is such a handsome boy, I love seeing his face! Cookie decorating and crafting sounds like a pretty ideal event to me. Hope you had a blast!

    1. I hope you are enjoying the holidays! Lots of family, relaxing, and love?! Ooh, I haven't had a Peppermint Mocha yet - must do that!!

Even though I didn't eat any of the cookies (there will be vegan cookies at the one on the 19th), I enjoyed spending time with the ladies and catching up. Any crafty activity is enjoyable, right?!

  6. That sweater is awesome!!
I swear thanksgiving leftovers are almost as exciting as the meal itself:) I'm planning to get that TJs turkeyless roast at the holidaze for some easy meals, I've only read great reviews yet haven't had a reason to buy one. Your holiday plans sound like such fun! Cookie decorating is a serious art form

    1. I hope you like the Turkeyless loaf, I think I like it best. I tried a slice of the Field Roast En Croute, which I know Shen loved, as a vegan colleague brought me a slice. I think TJ's was better!
