Groceries

It was a quick weekend, and I didn't get nearly enough done! I thought I'd share a small grocery haul, as it has been a while.
Seitan Strips, brown rice cakes, mushrooms, cabbage, kale, pre-mixed kale and brussel sprout salad (I'll make my own dressing), bananas, blueberries, oranges, apples.

I have only a few servings left of my Vega Nutritional Shake, and saw their newest edition was on sale:
Full review once I try it!

Nothing to do with groceries, but a rare moment where I was able to capture the enduring cuteness of this guy on the couch: (you need to see this full size)

You're welcome.

  2. OMG Remy!! That is the sweetest picture! I am so in love with it, thanks for sharing!

Great looking haul! I'm curious about the brussels sprout salad, I can't wait to see it and what kind of dressing you use. I've been craving kale chips lately... I think once this snow storm is in the past and we get all cleaned up I'm going to have to make some.... what flavor is the question :) I would love a review on the new Vega formula as well :)

I'm so with you, the weekend flew by! I hope your week goes just as quickly!

    1. Let's be honest: I'd love it all to fly by - right up to June 4th! Ha ha! I don't mind working, but am itching for a good break.

I'm going to try the new Vega tomorrow - I hope your electricity is working so you can stay warm and read my review! ;) But seriously, I hope it doesn't go out!

It's not quite as focused as I'd like it - but he is the worst subject, and he hates the camera! Nonetheless, it's a good representation of his cuteness!!

  3. Aw, Remy looks like a merdog sunbathing on a rock in that picture.
Always love grocery haul shots... Are you going to keep the kale/brussels mix raw and eat it like salad? Or cook it? The raw Brussels salad I made for Thanksgiving had a really good dijon/maple dressing (Salad Samurai recipe) but I'm sure you can also come up with a tasty one.
Oranges lately have been so good, I buy them whenever I see them.

    1. HA! A merdog, to be sure - with hind quarters out of focus and in one long curve. Love it!

I will eat it as a salad, and had thoughts of making a homemade poppyseed dressing but the dijon/maple sounds fantastic! But I'd need to buy some maple syrup first...

  4. You need to print and frame that pic (of the groceries, not Remy)

  5. What a cute mush! As for people who don't let their pets on the furniture...I don't want to know them.
