Naughty & Clean

Most of my meals this weekend were quite indulgent.  A few dark chocolate almond clusters, a Native Foods Reuben and fries. . .

Pancakes & Coffee

Sweet Korma Tofu from Bombay Bowl

I spent a little time with my brother, and had the last meal with a friend (she had never been to Bombay Bowl!), but otherwise I spent my time cleaning.  I hadn't done much at home since Winter Break, and we've had some changes in the schedule at the studio - I was there a half hour longer today because there was so much cleaning to be done.  (Yes, I got a little carried away organizing the yoga room.)

And now since everything is in order, it's time to get back on the nutrition wagon.  Lots of greens heading your way soon! Workouts are still going strong, I'm just rotating spin heavy weeks with yoga heavy weeks.  Last week was three spin and two yoga - this week is three yoga and two spin.

I'm off to enjoy the last bit of weekend left, snuggling with Remy and watching Downton Abbey.  I hope your weekend has been wonderful!

  1. Ooooh sometimes a weekend of decadence is just what you need, especially during the nasty cold winter! All of your meals look really delicious, definitely some great choices. I'm all about those chocolate almond clusters and the reuben looks great! I bet Shen will be proud ;) And hooray for pancakes!

I'm so impressed by your cleaning prowess ;) The yoga room looks great! Is it bad that I want to jump off of the top of the mat/towel cubby thing onto the big pile of pillow looking things? Because I feel like that would be really fun!

I hope you enjoyed your snuggle time! Last night I was amusing myself with the Grammys and oh man was it fun! Some pretty great performances and some pretty horrific ones HAHAHA. Love it.

    Hope your week goes quickly!!

    1. I have to take a break from those clusters; they have become too common in my diet! Ha ha! It was definitely difficult to not be indulgent today - I really wanted something sweet. . .like hot chocolate. Mmm. . . I'm surprised how much I like the reuben, as I'm usually not much of a faux meat eater!

Yes, I can see what you mean! When I pulled out all of the bolsters (long pillow things) I sat on a few of them as I cleaned the bottom cubbies and organized the bins.

I heard there were some good and some crazy moments! I need to check out the highlights!

      Thank you, same to you!

  2. Weekends are for Reubens, of that I am sure. Pancakes too. Do you ever freeze em to heat up during the week? Or would you rather keep the indulgence to once a week?
The korma looks fantastic, if a little different. Are there vegetables under the rice?
Nice job on the yoga studio... I could use some reorganization tips around the apartment.

    1. I like to keep the pancakes for occasion only, and eat them fresh! Bombay Bowl is very much Chipotle style in that they move you down the line. Jasmine rice, sweet korma sauce, flash fried tofu, chili-lime drizzle. They also have vegetables, cilantro, and a variety of chutneys. I tend to keep it simple.

  3. I see that the Indo Noodle Bowl is officially off the Native Foods menu now. :( The reuben does look really good, so maybe I'll have to try it next time we go.

Are those cork yoga blocks I see? I'm loving the one I got recently! So great not to have that plastic smell assaulting you while you do yoga. :)

    1. Yes, it forever gone! The Southwest Chipotle Chopped Salad is very good as well.

And also yes to the cork blocks! I like them for their sturdiness. The other location I frequent has the foam kind, which I don't really like. I want a couple cork ones for home!

  4. I can't wait to get to Native Foods. Beautiful Pancakes. Personally, I'm against you cleaning at the studio, but you seem to enjoy cleaning, so I'll mind my own business.

    1. You'll have to try their reuben and compare it to the others you have tried! As soon as I can make more money, I'll stop cleaning - but for now, I feel like I'm part of the studio, which is fulfilling. ;)

  5. That ruben looks astonishingly authentic!! And nice and saucy. Selective indulgence is necessary- and chocolate nut clusters sound like a great way to go.
The korma bowl sounds delicious- is that a coconutty sauce on there?
If helping clean the yoga studio = free classes then its all good if you ask me! And i hate cleaning.....
I never got into downton abby but tv and furry cuddles is a great combo either way.

    1. Yes, those were some great indulgences! And yes, the sweet korma is coconut milk based. Yum! It really isn't too bad, but I do have to clean my house first - otherwise all of my "cleaning energy" is spent at the studio. ;)
