Wednesday Greetings

Yesterday escaped me a little bit, so here I am with today's happenings!
Blueberry Muffin Smoothie
Spaghetti, sauce, and Gardein Meatless Meatballs
The apple wasn't in its best shape, so peanut butter accompanied it as well.
Sweet Korma Tofu Bowl with veggies from Bombay Bowl.  I ordered this off menu, as they decided to remove Sweet Korma from the everyday menu.  This place is set up similar to Chipotle; they make the bowl in front of you, asking you what you want in it, as you move down the line.  The guy who attended me tonight said he wasn't sure if it'll stick around or not. Argh!

In between the pb/apple and the Indian food was another intense RideTRX: lots of cardio and full body workout on the TRX straps.  I'm so looking forward to tomorrow's hour of gentle vinyasa!  I'll be back then to report on the day!

  1. The bowl looks great - can you recreate it out of what they will still offer? Or make it yrself?
I've had too many sad apples that should have been better but, yes, peanut butter improves everything.

    1. It was so good, and it really hit the spot. A little on the spicy side, but in a really good way. I'm going to look up sweet korma recipes and see what I can do! They also spice the tofu when they flash fry it in the wok, so I need to investigate that as well.

  2. That would be really sad if they didn't offer that bowl anymore. Hopefully they don't!

I had no idea that Gardein made meatballs. If they're as good as the rest of their products I must try them.

    1. I know! Now I'm tempted to write an email to the owner - ha ha!

I think I still like Nate's Meatless Meatballs the best, but these are quite good. Just really big, so they take 20 minutes in the oven.

  3. Can't wait to try the Gardein Meatballs. Waiting for Mr. SV to make Spaghetti.

That Indian Food looks so great. Maybe they'll come up with something better than Sweet Korma?

    1. Tell him to get on that immediately!

I doubt it, I didn't feel compelled to try anything else on their menu. Before I ordered, I peered over the glass to see if the sweet korma sauce there and was relieved to see it. I was too tired after the workout to cook anything!

  4. Yay for the blueberry muffin smoothie! Still one of my favs :) I've been cramming apples in my face like crazy lately. I've heard that when you crave healthy food intensely it means you are probably deficient in some sort of nutrient that the food you are craving has. I guess that I need something that apples are giving me :) Hooray for honeycrisps!!! What kind have you been enjoying?

That would be so sad if they don't offer that bowl!! Hopefully they'll have a similar option in its place because that would really be crappy if they took it off completely.

    Enjoy your yoga tomorrow! :)

    2. Yes, yoga was today! When she asked if we had any requests - I said "calves", as mine are so tight from two days in a row of hard rides. And a first: I was in sleeping pigeon, and she told me that I am improving in the pose each time she sees me. Woo hoo! I needed to hear that because I feel like I'm not doing well in yoga.

I love this smoothie, I'm so glad you introduced me to it! I need to find some better apples, as I know they must be in season. I must be missing the nutrient chocolate! Ha ha! ;)

  5. Crummy apples are the worst!! I keep eating one or two a day now that they are all over the farmers market. The gardein meatless balls sounds great- i've been hooked on the ones from trader joes forever and should mix it up. Its kind of impressive that bombay bowl labels vegetarian vs vegan on the menu- have you tried the channa masala? I get really upset when a favorite is taken off the menu, you should definatly write them!
