Rest Day

Last night during yoga class, my body said "take tomorrow off" and so, I am.  What I really want to do is sleep for two days, ha ha! Tomorrow I'm back on the horse, and off the waiting list - I'll be taking the RideTRX class and giving it my best.  But for today, I rest.

  1. today doesn't have a beige theme so much as a similar textural thing going on...for some reason the lines in the oat squares, the shredded cabbage and carrots, and the rice all overlapping in the stuffed pepper really look alike to me.
    they also all look delicious.
my body tells me to take a rest day often....

    1. Ha ha! Yes, a similar texture day! I seem to move in that fashion often; days where it could all be in a bowl, or dipped. Ha! The rest day was definitely a good decision, but TRX still killed me tonight. . .

  2. Yeah, same here - almost seven days out of seven it's a rest day! That salad looks like health in a bowl. Hope tomorrow brings more rechargedness!

    1. I have had many months of seven days of rest! If it wasn't for work/trade at this studio and free membership - I wouldn't be doing so much. I did feel stronger, but class was still tough! Ha!

  3. It's neat how the Stuffing is all piled up in the Pepper but not overflowing. I don't consider any day where I am 'on the clock' for work can be considered a 'rest day'.

    1. I'd love a mental health day (that's what we call it when a teacher takes a personal day!), and I think I'll take a half day in a couple of weeks when I have an appointment. Thus, a partial "rest day". ;)

  4. Resting days are so important, for our bodies and for our minds. I like the quiet photos.

  5. I am so glad that you listened to your body and gave yourself the rest day that you needed. I also like your quiet post :)

I have to find those oat squares. They look so delicious. As does the apple. The salad looks like a great recharge for lunch and while I don't like peppers, the mountain of stuffing looks so pretty and delicious! Definitely a great food day and I hope that your rest day left you feeling recharged and refreshed :)

    1. Thank you, and yes, the rest day was so needed. I feel like I have to be rested in order to even attempt the RideTRX class on Wednesdays - it's so hard.

I'm not a huge bell pepper lover either, which is why I only made one. I know people who eat them like carrots, but I've never been like that! It really is all about the stuffing. :)
