A Delicious Day

The end of the Quaker Oat Squares, served with almond milk.
I ended up with a spare moment, and ran out to Whole Foods to pick up lunch (otherwise, it would have been crackers & carrots with hummus, and an apple).
Bhakti Chai and Avocado & Cucumber Sushi.

It had been too long since I had chocolate, so I bought a mini-bar:
With that tasty lunch and decadent snack, I didn't need anything before heading to the best Gentle Vinyasa I've had in a while.  I surprised myself when I was able to do downward facing dog with flat feet - not on my toes!! Hooray!

Steamed broccoli and kale, covered in Miso Gravy from Everyday Happy Herbivore and potato wedges.
It's almost the weekend, we're nearly there! Woo hoo!

  1. Yay, sounds like you are making progress in yoga!!! That sounds awesome!! Congrats to you!

Great looking meals as always. Good call on lunch, it looks AMAZING!! You have to treat yourself and this looks like the perfect way to do so! Still jealous of your chai and the rolls look so fresh and delicious. How was that kind of chocolate? I love the salt and chocolate combo, it's so rich and delicious. Great looking dinner!! I should try the gravy, I need to try new sauces. The potatoes look perfect!

Happy Friday!! This has been the longest week ever, I can't wait til 5:00 on Saturday lol

    1. And of course, I haven't been able to do it since - this morning I awoke with a serious sinus headache and have been in the same state all day. I did make it to YogaCycle, but being inverted made the pressure increase, so I didn't work on it too much. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will feel better for tomorrow's class and can make it happen again!

It was definitely a treat-filled lunch, Friday I ate what I had from Thursday originally and it was definitely less excited. Ha! Yes, definitely try the gravy - so, so good.

It's your weekend as of now, I hope you are enjoying it!

  3. I don't know that I've ever said the words "been too long since I had chocolate." But way to start the chocolate eating back in :)
The bottom of a bag of cereal is so sad and crumbly.
Is that lemon they served with the sushi?? I've never seen that! Did you use it?

    1. Ha ha! I hope to never repeat the phrase in the future.

I have never used the lemon wedge, but I'm not a big lemon lover as it is - unless it's in lemon bars or vodka lemonade! :)

I could totally go for some sushi right now. It looks really fantastic.

      Thinking of you and Mike!

  5. Hey, I like the pencil as a guide to the scale size of the candy bar. And don't we all need chocolate some times? Like now perhaps!
