  1. Great idea to put the quinoa burger on the salad! I keep seeing those in one of the stores here but haven't purchased them yet. They're pretty pricey compared to the other burgers. Would you say they're worth paying extra?

I used to eat pb&j on rice cakes all the time. It's been forever since I had one, but now I'm starting to crave that after seeing yours the last few posts! :)

    1. Sadly, I am already growing bored of my pantry clean out - I'm going to have to amp up the produce purchasing tomorrow just to mix it up. I like the Qrunch burgers a lot, but I'd wait for a sale - or buy them when in Colorado because they are around $4 a box.

Ooh, jelly would be so good with the rice cake and pb!

  2. Oooooh I like your clean out! Fun new things!! I agree with Molly, definitely a great idea to top the salad with the burger. That avocado pasta looks particularly creamy and delicious and the roasted potato wedges look perfect! What kinds of things are you looking to re-stock with once you empty out the pantry?

Yay, happy weekend! I've got one day left and I'll be right there with you! Enjoy!!

    1. I've grown bored with it, and will need to mix in more veggies and what not to make it interesting! I have five more potatoes - geez, I overdid it at the Farmer's Markets! Ha ha! I have no idea what to stock, hopefully I'll try different grains. If you have any recommendations, let me know! :)

By now it is your weekend! Hooray!

  3. I wish I could buy the Quinoa Crunch Burgers, but $6.99/box is too rich for my blood. It's not like they're faux meat. Now that, I'd pay big bucks for.

I never thought of not eating the entire amount of Avocado Pasta when I've made it in the past. I'd probably still be eating it if I hadn't made myself so sick on it.

    1. That's insane. I know shipping it across the country is expensive, but that's a ridiculous mark up. Gardein FTW.

Ha ha! Just make the sauce and swap out the pasta for something else! It'll still be delicious!

  4. I make a big salad with a veggie burger patty ontop more often than not for dinners- due to crazy nyc prices i have yet to try the qrunch ones. The masala veg patties from trader joes are a favorite. That avocado sauce is really magical stuff. Hard to think of something it would not be good on....!

    1. That's such a great idea, putting veggie burgers on top of salads! I can't wait for Trader Joe's to open, I will definitely try the masala version when it does. I love the avo sauce!

  5. There's nothing that I love more than a good old cleanout - you always find some weird stuff that you bought thinking 'I'll make something cool with that later' and forgot about, and all the staples you buy a huge bag of and then got bored of halfway through. Then the cleanout means you use them up again and make all sorts of good stuff with them, and love them so much you have to buy more. Then the cycle starts again! Glad you're getting through all your spares!

    1. I've already found stuff I'd forgotten about - absolutely hilarious! Hopefully I don't break a tooth. ;) I'm absolutely certain the cycle will continue and in six months time, we'll be here again!
