A Load Lighter

Lots of work on the yard today, as well as cleaning out closets and drawers - followed by a trip to the Goodwill! There were a lot of people who apparently had the same kind of day, as the lines were long in the drop off zone.  It feels good to have less in my house, and to know that the items will be used again.

Breakfast: Cantelope and pressed juice (kale, apple, ginger)

Lunch: Toasted everything bagel, Tofutti, tomato

Afternoon delight:  Menchie's sorbet

Remy on supervision in the backyard:

I hope your week is going well! Any plans for the fourth of July?

    1. Awe, thank you! Remy was content to let me do all of the work. ;)

My neighbor was going out of town, so while she asked me to water her plants - she gave me a bottle of wine and two organic tomatoes from the Farmer's Market as "thanks"! The sorbet was blend of raspberry and watermelon - pretty sweet, so I took it slow. Ha!

  2. The sorbet looks incredible! I would love some of that right now. I also just had some canteloupe recently - I love it so much but never buy it! Yet more ways to keep cool.
I move frequently so I usually get rid of stuff at that point but it's always kind of fun to thin through JUNK.

    1. Cantelope is good, but watermelon is the best! So sweet and refreshing! It feels so good to go through items, even though some of them I don't want to part with - I do it because there's just too much around!

  3. I like the new look of your blog!

I always love getting rid of stuff that's not wanted or needed. It feels so refreshing to have less.

That sorbet is such a pretty color! You had a very summery day of eating & it all looks so good. Remy is adorable, as always. I love that you post pics of him. :)

I'll be working tomorrow and Mike would have been, too, but since he's injured he'll have to stay home. I envy him his day snuggling with the girls!

I hope you and Remy enjoy the holiday!

    1. Thank you! I guess along with the organization / closet purge, I wanted a different look on here too.

Remy is a tempermental model, so I was happy to capture him in the moment. Ha!

I hope that Mike is continuing to heal, and that the girls are taking good care of him while you are at work!

      We did, thank you!

  5. That Asian chopped salad looks really good right now. Perfect for hot weather. I would love to eat everything in this post, except Remy. He just gets lots of kisses. What a cutie.

    1. Ha ha! Yeah, it was time for a change - I'm glad you like it!

We're in a steady state of warmth around here too - sorbet does help cool us down. :)
