Colorful Eats

My breakfast was reminiscent of a winter breakfast by Shen.  Grapefruit Sage Kombucha and an energy bite from Whole Foods.  I actually purchased a couple of the bites a month ago and forgot about them! Whoops!
Lunch included a quinoa dish and another juice I intended to drink on Sunday, but did not.
Broccoli, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes (all three leftover from the party tray a week ago), pine nuts, garlic, and quinoa that I cooked in veggie broth.
Lots more veggies:
An intense desire for peanut sauce came over me, so even though I'm trying not to eat meals out of house I picked up the cleanest dinner I could think of:
Veggie Salad Rolls (and peanut sauce!!).

See you Thursday! Have a great night!

  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets intense cravings for peanut sauce! Those rolls looks SO perfect. Now I'm going to be craving peanut sauce with delicious rolls..... :)

Your breakfast is totally a Shen meal. Love it!

    1. Peanut sauce makes everything better. I fully intend to make my own and toss / dip a variety of deliciousness into it!

      Ha, yes it was!

  2. What a colorful, healthy day! That is definitely a Shen breakfast! I have to see if I can find that brand of kombucha... no floaties is definitely enticing and the flavors sound really interesting. The quinoa lunch is such a great way to use up that veggie tray! Great looking meal and those rolls look fresh and yummy as always :)

    1. I surprised myself with the colorful aspect, all I needed was some grapes and I would've had the whole lot. The Bucha brand has been on sale, and I've liked it enough to pick it up again! Ha ha! I love salad rolls, or really anything vegetable in rice paper. ;)

  3. Ooh those salad rolls look so good!! That's so weird as I really fancied peanut sauce last night and haven't had it for years. I made my own and it was really yummy. I've really got to find some Kombucha here!

    1. It really is a fantastic sauce! I'd love to see how you make yours, if you feel like sharing! :)

Hopefully Kombucha jumps the pond soon!

  4. I don't think I'm going to be trying kombucha, but grapefruit sage does sound like a nice combination. I like the way you "re-homed" vegetables from a party tray into a tasty lunch. The veggie salad rolls are gorgeous and "mmm, peanut sauce..."

    1. Hi Rachel! I still have a million carrots - I'm not sure what to do with them, other than Ginger Carrot Soup! Salad rolls and peanut sauce are always a great combo. :)

  5. I can understand the craving for peanut sauce. Sometimes I go a little bit weird and could happily eat satay sauce on its own with a spoon!

  6. Great minds think alike -- I had two Energy Bites for breakfast this morning. Then when I went to WF's at lunch, they were promoting that 'bucha' Kombucha, but I didn't buy any. There was no Bahkti Chai Tea either, unfortunately.

You're buying a lot of expensive drinks lately. Wonder how much a bottle of Peanut Sauce would cost to guzzle.

    1. I don't understand what happened to the Chai - so strange! Have you asked about it? In the very least, now you know what I'm talking about when I drink it. Although, it's better to drink it yourself. ;)

Yes, ma'am - those pressed juices are seriously expensive and the one above was horrible. I convinced myself to chug it for the health benefits only. I won't be making the investment again! Ha!

  7. I have not seen those energy bites. Now with the both of you eating them, I'll have to keep my eyes open for them!

    1. In the bulk aisle at Whole Foods! I bet you could make an even tastier version in your kitchen. :)
