Longest. Day. Ever.

Not a good day at work, and while I'm trying to shrug it off (90% of it is out of my hands - must be patient!), I'm at a loss for my usual upbeat banter.  Please enjoy a succinct post tonight.
Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

Kale salad with tofu, walnuts, pomegranate dressing, and poppyseeds:
And. . .
Everything bagel, Tofutti, cucumbers
Until next time. . .

  1. Aww I'm so sorry that you had a bad day at work today! I hope everything gets worked out in the end and sooner rather than later.

At least you had some good looking meals today? The smoothie looks really pretty and the salad is gorgeous. I haven't had an apple in a long time, that one's making me crave one! Bagels are always a good way to cheer up at the end of a crappy day. I hope that you can at least still have a good night!

    1. Thanks, Sarah! Friday it all reached crescendo, but it slowly coming around. Ugh! I appreciate your support! :)

Again, thanks to you for introducing the smoothie! I can't believe how much out of season produce is still around. I picked up even more apples today (mostly to stop myself from buying strawberries that would most likely be sour). It was absolutely a bagel-worthy day! Ha ha! Carbs to the rescue!

  2. That stinks that work is stressful for you right now. I've had plenty of those days & know how much they can bring you down. Here's hoping things are better now!

You certainly had a lovely day of eating, though. The smoothie is such a pretty color and that salad sounds fantastic!

    1. It's mostly resolved, but two big issues remain the same. Hopefully, my interference on those issues will be help them to be resolved on Monday. Thanks for your kind words!

The salad was one of those "use what you have on hand" types of creation, and it was pretty decent! I agree, those blueberries make such a gorgeous color.

    1. Do they pay them "big bucks" in VA? Maybe Remy and I need to move. ;)

  4. The first week after a vac can be challenging. Sorry you had a rough day, but I'm confident you're enjoying the weekend now. A succinct post with nice photos is OK by me.

    1. Hi Rachel! I think it was the vacation that made our students lose it, and unfortunately all of my issues were technical. As in, I was in a group (of about 100 employees) who were deleted from the server. No internet access, no phone service, no access to files on my computer, no record in HR. . .the list goes on.

  5. It's a pain that the stress is out of your hands - hope it's all waning now though.

That kale salad does look good - the colour of the pomegranate dressing is just so pretty. Kale and walnuts were meant to go together I think! What was in the dressing?
