Not Exactly Healthy

It appears that I still party eat like it's my birthday, as I have been dining out and indulging a little too much.  Tomorrow will be much cleaner and greener! Oh, and there will be exercise, too. ;)

One pancake with maple syrup, half a grapefruit and black coffee.

A little shopping with a friend, followed by lunch at Red Robin.  I took Shen's advice and ordered the Boca Vegan Burger.
The other half of the burger was eaten for dinner:
Also eaten at dinner, a healthy serving of Whole Food's Asian Almond Cabbage Salad
Downton Abbey's season finale is tonight, so there will also be a cup or two of decaf tea.  See you tomorrow!

  1. I don't think it was a horribly unhealthy day at all! Have the grapefruits been as good by you as they have here? So, so delicious lately!

I'm impressed with your ability to eat only a half burger at a time. :)

    1. Ha ha! It probably just felt that way at the time, as I've had a few days in a row like this! The grapefruits have been phenomenal.

Only because I ate all of the fries. ;)

  2. I don't think this was a really unhealthy day either! Your breakfast plate looks really pretty. I love splitting restaurant meals into two, and adding that slaw to dinner is a perfect healthy counterpoint! I think your meals look great!

    Enjoy the season finale!

    1. Compared to where I was a week ago, it wasn't as healthy as I should be eating. Yes, splitting meals is important!

It was a frustrating finale, as was expected. ;)

    1. Over-satisfied if I say! ;) Usually Boca Burgers don't impress, but this was pretty good.

  4. Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't think this is unhealthy. Sure, more greens would be ideal, but there's nothing too bad here. Also one time I heard a nutritionist say that diets can be balanced over a period of days. It's not like you have to get every nutrient in, every day. I have not eaten at Red Robin, but Sweetie has and says it's decent. Were the fries tasty?

    1. It's probably been six or seven years since I went to Red Robin, so I can't give many recommendations but what I ate was good (yes, the fries were tasty).

I like this advice from the nutritionist! I'll let myself off of the hook a little bit. ;)

  5. Paaaaannnncakes. That looks like a perfect breakfast. And very nice looking fries as well. I am never able to hold myself to half a sandwich; I reason with myself that it gets worse for wear as the day goes on, but yrs still looks tasty.
Keep the party going, I say.

    1. It was quite the pancake. It does look like an advertisement for breakfast! I think the guilt from the fry consumption caused me to only eat half. ;)

Ha ha! Maybe just a little. . .

  6. Great job splitting the Red Robin burger in two. I always am dying of thirst after I eat one of those (so far always in its entirety at one sitting).

Mr. SV and I were very pissed off about the Downton Abbey finale. So lame. So wrong. How long do we have to wait till Season Four BTW?

    1. Thank you for the recommendation - it was good. You have more willpower with the fries, by sharing them with your rooster.

I'm not sure how long the wait will be, but it is clear that birth of baby = someone has to die.
