Destination Wish List

I'm not going to post my material wish list this year, as I already know what I'll actually be receiving: a new blender.    Not to mention, I don't really "need" much of anything.  Nonetheless, wish lists are fun for dreaming and if I could do anything, I'd travel.  Here is my top ten state-side and international destination wish list. (In no particular order...)
Norway

Bath, England (I've been to England before, but never to Bath.)
Bath, England

Destin Beach, FL
Destin Beach, Destin, Florida

Smokey Mountains, TN

Seattle, WA

Vancouver, British Columbia

A trip along the Pacific Coast Highway

Alaska (as seen from a train, I'd prefer that to a cruise)

So, while we're dreaming - where would you like to go?

  1. A new blender is exciting! We just treated ourselves to a Vita Mix and are loving it so far. Making soup in it this week. :)

All of the places you listed are fantastic. Mike and I want to travel everywhere we can with our (future) Airstream. I've never flown and doubt that I could ever bring myself to actually do it, so we'll probably stick with the states and Canada. That's okay, though, because there's so much to see in North America.

    1. I am excited about the blender; I'll be putting it to good use very soon! It's not quite a VitaMix, but hopefully more powerful than my current one. I bet you are loving it!

There are so many more, but I thought I'd cap it at 10. I need to do more state-side travel, and would love to go to Canada. I hope we both get to do some traveling!

  2. Oh man you are about to be the envy of all bloggers not in possession of a high speed blender, myself definitely included! That's so awesome!!

What a great list you've compiled!! I've been to a few of these places: I lived in Seattle for a year and a half and it is amazing. I went to Vancouver while living there and it was also beautiful :) I was in Destin for a week for my bro's wedding and it is so beautiful and fun! My family goes there every year for vacation and I don't blame them, it's amazing! Everywhere you dream of is so stunning, but I'm definitely now obsessed with the photo of Bath! OMG gorgeous!

I've had this weird fascination with Scandinavia, particularly, Norway, Sweden and Finland. I don't know why but I do, ha! I'd love to go to Costa Rica, Thailand, Greece (OMG I WANT TO GO TO GREECE SOOOOOOO BAD!!), Spain... I feel like the list is endless! I'm lucky to have backpacked after college and saw England, Ireland, Scotland, Belgium and France and it was an amazing experience! I'd love to see your travel journal when you go to any or all of these places ;)

    1. I feel like a state-side trip might be in order before anything international, although I'd really like to go with my brother to England. As I've been a few times, and he hasn't - and he loves the Beatles. I think Seattle might be one of the first places I actually get to from this list. When I do go, I'll definitely be asking you for some suggested places! Isn't the picture of Bath amazing?! Love it!

I love Scandinavia as well! I went to Sweden was I was five (to visit relatives), so obviously my memories are faint. I'd definitely go back. Yes, Greece is on my list as well as Ireland and Belgium! I've been to Scotland and France, but would go back any time! I love travelling, and hope it gets to happen (or rather, I actually start to save $$)soon.

  3. VAVAs right - that new blender sounds like it'll be a lot of fun.
I don't exactly enjoy traveling... but I am really interested in visiting a couple places.... Ireland, Seattle, maybe Spain to see my sister. Oh and morocco!
I've been to Alaska - it's incredibly beautiful. And that friend of the family is from Bath - I had no idea it was so gorgeous. I hope you make it to each place one day!

    1. Maybe if you traveled with someone laid back and awesome, such as myself, you would love to travel. ;) Just kidding! It can be stressful, for sure. Have you done any solo trips? When I visited my cousin in Boston a few years ago, she had to work and I discovered the city by myself and it was pretty great.

I loved Spain, and would definitely go check it out - as well as North Africa! You should press your family friend for photos of Bath, or stories, to entertain us. :)

  4. I hope you find the blender under the tree on Tuesday.

Your travel dreams are beautiful. I did a lot of traveling (exotic places like Hong Kong & Costa Rice) before I acquired all my fur babies. Now I'm too neurotic to leave them except when necessary.

    1. It'll be there. It won't be wrapped, and I was with my mother when she bought it. Ha!

Remy (and lack of finances) are my main reasons for not traveling. I don't trust many people to take care of him while I'm gone. It must be even more difficult with more furries! In a perfect world, I'd like my next trip to be to the NW, rent a beach cottage, and take Remy with me.

  5. On the off chance you make it to Bath, let me know. There's a lot to recommend it - I'd make a special trip down from London just to eat there! Other than Oz, I've not been to anywhere else on your list, but from that picture alone, I'm jonesing for Norway!

    1. I am so jealous of your proximity to Bath, and London, for that matter! I have recently heard about "The Only Way is Essex" and while I'm sure you feel the same way about it as I feel about "Jersey Shore" - I'm curious to know your thoughts. Ha! Reality t.v. really is something else!
