Working Wednesday

Heated discussion and the puzzle that is scheduling had me eating and working at the same time.  All day.

Breakfast:

Lunch: a colleague was kind enough to join me on a quick trip to Parsley.  We brought it back, and worked.
Soup of the day: Vegan Black Bean and a Carrot Apple Ginger juice.

At the end of the day, we finished our conversation at Chipotle.
Usual burrito bowl.

My brain is exhausted.  I may treat it to a little Soy Nog and spiced rum in a bit.  Or now. Yes, right now.

  1. Yeaahhh I approve 100% of the rum and nog! Sounds like you earned it.
Lunch looks awesome - that's such a great juice flavor, and I like the name of the store!

    1. Hi Maud! I have earned it again today. ;)

I love Parsley. But I would still love to juice my own - by my count, this contained two large carrots, one medium apple and a few chunks of ginger. That can't really be $6 worth of produce.

  2. I'm with Maud, you definitely deserve that nog! Sounds like a really exhausting and frustrating day. It seems like you were able to at least nourish yourself with yummy, nutritious food! I seriously need a juicer, I really love the idea of sipping on a juice for an energy boost. Yours looks beautiful, what a pretty color! Gotta love Chipotle for a yummy, quick, filling dinner.

Rest up, decompress and enjoy your nog!! :) Hope the rest of your week is better!

    1. I also had Rice Nog, which definitely isn't as good as Soy Nog - but I will only have this one container of Soy, as I don't need to overload! I think the Chocolate Peppermint beverage will be my next purchase.

I'm with you! We need to find a juicer raffle, and enter immediately!

Thank you, the week has been good - I think when big decisions are on the table, it's tough, contentious work!

  3. Soy nog? This is some crazy, beautiful US thing we don't have over here, isn't it? Dammit!

  4. Did you dare to ask for extra Lettuce? I never get the Corn. I don't know why.

    1. I did say my usual, "lots of lettuce, please". It was an acceptable amount - but not exceptional. ;)

Corn and the bright red hot sauce are my two from the "veggie section". Followed by guac, which balances the heat of the hot.

  5. I've never had nog, so enjoy some for me! Looks like a pretty great food day for you. I hope you had a relaxing night!

    1. Last year I tried Rice Nog for the first time, and this year I picked up both Rice and Soy Nog. I can't compare it to the original, as the one sip I had years ago made me gag - just based on the thought it was made with eggs. Nonetheless, the Soy version is superior - and so nice with the spiced rum! ;)

  6. I actually really like the first photograph; it's so simple and pretty. I would have been starving trying to get through the morning on a such a small breakfast though. I have never had plain corn at Chipotle, but I do like their corn salsa. Glad you enjoyed your soy nog in the spirit of the season!

    1. It was a small breakfast, but I knew I'd be eating out for lunch (and also dinner) so I figured I'd try to balance out the heaviness. I did mean to say the corn salsa! Oops! Yes, it is good. :)
