Election Day

Second half of WF Vegan Sonoma Wrap and a Honeycrisp for lunch.
Dinner started with the very end of last week's Tomato Coconut Curry Soup (about 2/3 cup)
followed by Cauliflower Au Gratin and green peas.
In an unscientific poll (slips of paper, collected in an envelope), held by yours truly, our ninth grade class voted today.  The results:
Obama 83%
Romney 8.5%
Neither or No Vote 8.5%

  1. Cauliflower and peas is always a winning combination. It looks as if your class mirrored the way the state voted. I also notice that Amendment 64 passed, but I can imagine that would not be something you'd want to bring up in school just yet.

    1. Cauliflower and peas are amazing!

Our students did seem to know which way to go! :)

I know. I did not vote for 64, and the students definitely brought it up in class. In fact, the same student who has shown up high mentioned it first. Hooray! Can't wait for them not to get in trouble for smoking and coming to class all of the time! *sigh*

    1. The cauliflower was also nice. ;) Most of these kiddos come from Blue homes. The suburbs are the Red households.

  3. Wow, so awesome that the percentage for Obama was so high in the vote! Must be a great class you have.

I'm even more amazed at the legalization of marijuana for recreational use there. Many of my co-workers were very excited about that. :)

    1. Would you believe that even in my school, among co-workers, I was of one the very few who didn't support legalization of pot? They see it more akin to alcohol, and I see it as a deterrent to adolescents. Medical marijuana, I understand. All other purposes seem needless. I guess we'll see what happens! Denver = Amsterdam?

  4. Wow, what smart students you have!! So glad the rest of the country agreed ;)

Great looking meals! That soup looks so rich and delicious and you can't go wrong with cauliflower gratin. I love eating apples as a side and it looks like the perfect accompaniment to your wrap. Great looking day!

Looks like Colorado likes to party haha!

    1. I was relieved about the election, and my students were excited to talk about it yesterday!

Thank you, it was a tasty day!

Less party, more of "hey. . .dude, that's pretty rad" type of crowd around here. ;)
