More Good Stuff

Breakfast with friends here:
That would be WaterCourse Foods.  I had the Florentine Tofu Scramble: spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, swapping the swiss for vegan cheese (not sure what kind it was), and dry whole wheat toast.
Totally stuffed, I battled taking a nap for the rest of the day.  Due to the above heavy meal (at 9:30am), I didn't eat again until 3:30pm.

About three hours later, I was ready for dinner.
Field Roast Frank, properly dressed.  Hands down, the best corn of the season.  I'm glad I took a few weeks off from purchasing some, as clearly the good stuff is now at market.

Pretty excited about having another day off tomorrow - woo hoo!!

    1. I love having an extra day, despite the fact that all day I thought it was Sunday. I agree - good conversation, good people, good food - the trifecta of happiness. :)

    1. Me, too! I like seeing a little more than just the food, especially if I am on a budget and can only travel to another city via internet. :)

Thank you, it went too quickly - hope your day was great!

  3. Yay for a three day weekend! I hope you've been able to really enjoy it and relax a bit. It sounds like you've had some pretty great food to fuel you! That tofu scramble breakfast sounds absolutely perfect! It definitely looks lovely!

Gotta love hummus and peaches, now I'm craving both of those things! That's great about the corn, I know it's a bummer to bring home a disappointing ear of corn but it's definitely awesome when you bring home a great one!

Hope you had a great day!!

    1. I hope you had today off, too! Their scramble is pretty good, as close to homemade as it gets, in my opinion.

The Sabra hummus was on sale 2/$6, which was extra incentive to pick up two. It doesn't take long to go through them!

  4. Such a healthy day. Wish I could limit myself to one Field Roast Frank at a time, but they're just too delicious.

    1. I am officially out of Field Roast as of today! I am going to be good and get through some of my freezer "meat" before buying more. I'll have to live through your posts!

  5. We just had the Field Roast franks for the first time a few weeks ago over a fire in the backyard. They're so good!

I've heard good things about Watercourse Foods and the corn is definitely at its peak right now. We've been enjoying it lately, too. :)

    1. They are so good - I can never go back to Tofurky dog.

If you make it to Denver during your next CO trip, definitely check it out. If you're there for lunch, my favorite is the Dona Lee.

  6. I stinkin' LOVE Field Roast. I've even used their Italian Sausage in a lasagne recipe and the meat-eaters who had a slice (or two) were in Heaven. It really tastes fantastic!

    1. Field Roast is really good! It could definitely fool a carnivore, in my opinion.
