That's Earl Grey in the bag, and in the mug. The yellow ceramic tea pot plate is for resting the tea ball when finished.
Breakfast was Banana Bread Oatmeal:
This soup crock was supposed to debut last week, but I forgot about it! My thanks to Sarah for the inspiration to get one (she has the cutest bowls!).
Workout: 25 minutes of intervals
Lunch: Tomato Coconut Curry Soup
Sorry about the weird angle!
Leftover dry roasted cauliflower as a snack:
I also did some sampling as a I prepared a lot of food (four different dishes!) for this week.
Dinner: typical tostada (brown rice tortilla, vegetarian refried beans, vegetarian green chile, romaine)
Question: do you plan your meals for the week?

Ah, multi-part gifts are so fun! This looks like a cute set. Earl Grey is such a nice tea - one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI do meal plan, but I only do it about 2-3 days in advance and it is kind of subject to change, depending on what I forget to buy for a recipe, or under/overestimate how much G and I eat, what G doesn't want to eat. mostly my breakfasts and lunches are planned but dinner is a bit looser. It's fun though!
It is a great gift, I really enjoy it! I'm the same way, breakfast and lunch most times. Coming up with new and different ideas can be a task and a half, though! Blogging has helped me become more creative.
DeleteI love the tea set! It is so cute and I actually really love the little plate to rest the tea ball. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteVery cute bowl! :) And the oatmeal that is in it looks great too. And I like the soup angle. I like using different angles for photos, it makes them interesting :) The tostada looks great as always!
I meal plan for the weekdays because my time is so limited and I'm either working a long day or running around. I wing it a little more on the weekends because I have a little more time to be creative (sometimes) and because I'm not sure what I'll have left by the end of the week so I just wait. I find it a lot easier to plan. That's great that you were able to accomplish so much today!
Thank you! The tea ball is the best thing I've ever used, then again - I'm easily amused. The bowl was only $5, I might have to get another one (in a different color!).
DeleteTime is a huge reason for planning. I prefer to just go with flow, too - unfortunately, I only get to do that during summer / winter break. Or spring break (9 more school days - I'm dying!).
I know teachers get lots of gifts. I always gave my teachers a Whitman's Sampler. Guess that wouldn't go over so well these days.
ReplyDeleteNot this teacher! I work at a high poverty, transient, urban school. This was from a friend, as a late birthday present! I don't even remember what I gave my teachers. . .
